Rio de Janeiro - Iguazu Falls Brazil side

An early start for our 2 hour flight to Iguazu. Our guide met us on arrival and we were bused to the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls for lunch followed by a walking tour up to the falls. The falls are the widest in the world extending 2.7 km across. There are 19 major waterfalls with over a hundred smaller falls.
Our first look at what was to come

Jenny Williams at the end of our 4 km walk. There are only 3 major falls on the Brazilian side most of them are on the Argentinian side but can be viewed from where we were on the Brazilian side. From here we were transferred by our bus to the border into Argentina only a few minutes away. Passports collected and taken to the office at the border. Over 1 hour later we were finally through and off to our hotel only minutes away. They always seem to have a glitch in their computer system then it has to be done manually. The airports haven’t been much better so we have learnt to allow plenty of time.
